Being Respectful

The idea for this comic came to me during my break at work while eating lunch. I was sitting at a table and I heard the waitress at the register telling the customer how much his meal was. Everything played out as normal as any other transaction. My brain, however, randomly fired a synapse resulting in this absurd thought... What if the customer just decided to respectfully decline.

Absurd... YES! How Absurd?! Oh dear, far too absurd to even construct a sort of simile or metaphor to illustrate my point. And what would the waitress say?! "Umm... no?"
